The Route
Carson falls is a cascade of five waterfalls, the largest of which is about 35 feet tall. The easiest trail to get there is 1.9 miles one-way, most of it is an unshaded fire-road. The last half mile to the falls is a single-track trail that drops down the side of the canyon, nicely amongst the trees, and switchbacks it's way to the top of the falls. The hike isn't too hard but there are some steepish hills, It's mostly not very inspiring until you get to the falls.
Be aware that the fire-road is a multi-use trail, so keep your eyes open for mountain bikers.
